In an interview to “Capital”, Fuzes Oszkar, the Hungarian Ambassador to Romania, said that his country would insist for Romania and Bulgaria to be accepted into Schengen, if the technical report is favourable, and, if France or Germany is opposed to it, they should explain the grounds for their decision. Hungary’s ambassador to Romania is sure Romania will join the Schengen area in March, despite contrary pressures by France and Germany. “I believe Romania will accede to Schengen in March, if Bulgaria and Romania are given a report that proves the technical aspect has been fully accomplished. If France or Germany, or anybody else, opposes it, the situation will be different. Those countries should explain the reasons for their opposition,” Fuzes Oszkar said.
