Banks must adopt a conduct code in the relations with their customers, especially after the population experienced a tough process of education regarding its contractual rights and obligations, following the adoption of OUG 50/2010, considers the CEO of Unicredit Tiriac Bank, Rasvan Radu, quoted by Mediafax. According to the banker, once the “OUG 50 wave” has passed and cases start being solved in court, customers are learning to a higher degree what their rights are, and will be more insistent in asking banks to observe these rights, while also learning “how far these rights extend.” “In a way of speaking, OUG 50 was a tough lesson taught to the population, which could have been achieved much better by using other methods,” Radu concluded.
