The Cluj Metropolitan Church on Friday made public the last will and testament of Metropolitan Bartolomeu Anania. In the will, Anania asks that the person who will follow him at the helm of the Metropolitan Church be “a righteous, worthy man who opposes corruption,” according to daily Adevarul.’ The will, finalised a year ago, also provides that all royalty rights from Anania’s writings be left to the foundation that bears his name. Anania also demanded that the activity of the Metropolitan Bartolomeu Foundation continue after his death and that its purpose would remain the same, with “its entire heritage and goods not to be used for other purposes by anybody.”
Anania died last week in a Cluj-Napoca hospital, shortly before turning 90.
