Romanian artist in Tate Modern exhibition

Acclaimed artist Ion Grigorescu will be featured in an event Tate Modern exhibition in London, organizers, The Romanian Cultural Institute have informed. Opening on February 11, the exhibition, part of the group show ‘Out of Place’, will conclude on April 15, being the first public display of Grigorescu’s works in the United Kingdom. The event in the Level 2 Gallery series features four artists from different backgrounds whose works focus on how political changes affect the lives of individuals. Ion Grigorescu, Cevdet Erek (Turkey), Hrair Sarkissian (Syria) and Ahlam Shibli (Palestine) expose the physical traces of historical shifts and political decisions.
