Ambassadors at Cotroceni

H.E. Leo d’Aes, the Kingdom of Belgium Ambassador to Romania, who concluded his mission, paid a farewell visit to President Basescu at Cotroceni Palace yesterday. During the meeting, the Romanian head of state and the Belgian ambassador referred to the good bilateral cooperation, mostly in the field of Justice. Separately, accreditation letters were presented yesterday by three new ambassadors to Romania, of Portugal, Antonio Chambers de Antas de Campos, Denmark, Michael Sternberg, and Albania, Sami Shiba. According to a presidential administration release, the new ambassadors of Portugal and Denmark conveyed the interest of Portuguese and Danish companies to continue investing in Romania. For his part, the Albanian ambassador thanked Romania for its support to Albania’s accession process to the European Union and NATO.
