CFR’s Lacina Traore has signed for Kuban Krasnodar, a Russian team coached by Romania’s Dan Petrescu. CFR Cluj will receive EUR 4 M and 10 per cent of a future transfer. Lacina (20) will have a salary of EUR 500,000. “CFR 1907 Cluj and Kuban Krasnodar have reached an agreement on transferring Lacina Traore for good. We wish him good luck at his new team and we thank him for his contribution to our team’s performances,” the club’s official website reads. “Traore will have a salary at Western standards and he is very pleased. One month ago Dan Petrescu told me he wants Traore and he exerted significant pressure on Kuban’s leadership. The player will grow a lot under Petrescu’s command and I’m convinced Kuban is only a pit stop for Traore, a player whom I see playing in England in the future,” CFR Cluj President Iuliu Muresan stated for sport.ro. The striker could make his debut today, February 8, in the friendly that Dan Petrescu’s team plays against Dinamo Kiev. Aged 20, Lacina scored 14 goals in 44 games for CFR.
