CFR Cluj and Otelul Galati win friendlies

CFR Cluj defeated Croatia’s NK Lokomotiva Zagreb on Monday, in its last but one training game in Antalya, score 2-1. Also on Monday Otelul Galati defeated Poland’s GKS Belchatow (6th in the Polish top league) in its first training game in Cyprus, score 6-0. The goals were scored by Gabriel Giurgiu (38’, penalty kick), Laurentiu Iorga (39’) and Marius Pena (50’, 52’, 81’, 83’). “I am pleased with my players; they’ve shown very good physical shape and an eagerness to play. It was a successful friendly and the victory matters because I want good results in friendlies too. I’m glad they’ve shown an appetite to score; in fact that’s what I’ve been working on during the training sessions. I’m convinced however that games in which we’ll have to work a lot in order to score are ahead of us, so this game is already history. We have very good conditions in Cyprus,” coach Dorinel Munteanu stated.
