‘Marie Curie’ Hospital has new pediatric ward

The ‘Marie Curie’ Children’s Hospital opened Wednesday a new floor exclusively dedicated to the 3rd Pediatric Ward. The renovation of the 6th and 7th floors of the hospital benefited from a donation of EUR 500,000, in a project initiated by the Schecherazade Foundation, the donation being made by Enel Cuore, the non-profit organisation of the Enel Group.

The salons of the 3rd Pediatric Ward, with a total 53 beds, were rearranged and restored, received new medical equipment, installations, electric and heating systems. The whole hospital benefits from new heating and air conditioning systems, sanitary equipment, new windows and doors, floors and antibacterial paint. These investments led to an obvious improvement of the conditions provided to patients, along with the capacity to admit more patients.

Since 2007, the Schecherazade Foundation gathered, through various campaigns, the sum of EUR 1.2 M needed to renovate the whole hospital: 100 salons, 42 cabinets, 60 restrooms, 28 storage rooms and 8 offices.
