Policeman found hanged in Aiud Police headquarters

A 46-year-old policeman was found hanged, on Saturday, on the premises of the Aiud Police station, where he was employed. The man left a note in which he apologized to his family and colleagues, without offering any explanations for his gesture. “He was popular at work and, as far as we know, he had no professional problems. His gesture is regrettable and it saddened everyone,” the chief of the Cabinet Department within the Alba County Police Inspectorate, under-commissioner Vasile Catargiu, stated, quoted by Mediafax. In his farewell note, the man says he loves his wife and son and apologizes both to them, and to his work colleagues, for the “inconveniences resulting” from his gesture. The policeman was employed by the Aiud City Police’s Criminal Investigation department. The case is looked into by an investigation team sent in by the Alba County Police.
