The leaders of the ruling coalition are analysing the possibility that the government takes responsibility for the new Labour Code, but a final decision will be made in the next meetings. “There is the possibility of taking responsibility, as a variant, but nothing has been decided yet,” Deputy Ovidiu Gant, representing the ethnic German community, said yesterday, quoted by Realitatea.net. During Monday’s meeting of the coalition, Labour Minister Ioan Botis presented an overview of the talks over the labour legislation, saying that the collective labour contract is still an issue under debate with social partners. On the other hand, PDL member Gheorghe Flutur said there was no talk about taking responsibility, adding that the Labour minister should finalise the draft act this week.
