UniCredit wants more internet banking users

UniCredit Tiriac Bank estimates that the number of users of its internet banking service will rise by 40 per cent, to 150,000 people this year, having already exceeded the threshold of 100,000 customers at the end of 2010, Mediafax reports. At the end of last year, UniCredit _iriac Bank had a total of 105,813 internet banking users, over 99,000 of them being individual persons and SMEs and the rest being large companies. `The penetration of our internet banking service in the corporate segment – meaning the number of corporate customs who use internet banking compared to the total number of corporate customers is 85 per cent. The same rate for SME customers is 70 per cent and for individual persons it exceeds 15 per cent’, Bogdan Spuza, marketing and product director in the UniCredit Tiriac Bank retail division, stated.UniCredit has also launched the smartphone optimized version of its internet banking service.
