Opera – Eduard Tumagian and Brazilian soprano Eliane Coelho in ‘I due Foscari’

Tomorrow night, from 6.30 pm, in one of the newest pieces included in the repertoire of the Bucharest National Opera, ‘I due Foscari’ (‘The Two Foscari’) there will be two special guests performing: the baritone Eduard Tumagian (in the role of Francesco Foscari) and Brazilian soprano Eliane Coelho, in the role of Lucrezia Contarini. Alongside the two special gusts will perform the soloists Hector Lopez, Mihnea Lamatic, Liviu Indric?u, Simonida Lu?escu and Dan Indric?u, the musical direction being provided by conductor Iurie Florea. The Bucharest National Opera Choir, co-ordinated by maestro Stelian Olariu, will also perform.
Eliane Coelho is highly appreciated by international critics for her varied repertoire and for her ability to address a very broad range of extremely diverse parts.

Eliane Coelho has been the guest of the Bucharest National Opera a number of times already, when she enchanted the audience in operas such as ‘Tosca’ or ‘Manon Lescaut’ (Giacomo Puccini) and ‘Simon Boccanegra’ (Giuseppe Verdi).

The baritone Eduard Tumagian has developed an important career performing on some of the world’s big stages such as La Scala in Milan (debut under the musical direction or Riccardo Muti) and Deutsche Oper in Berlin.
