Romania exports twice more bananas than traditional products

It appears Romania, a country with a long tradition in agriculture, has been exporting, for a few years now, bananas, citruses and even coffee in a larger amount than traditional products, according to official figures, quoted by Realitatea.net. The paradox: the quantity sold is, in some cases, twice larger than the quantity of carrots or tomatoes sold. Worst still, we’ve ended up exporting fruit and vegetables only to import them back paying a double or triple price, according to incont.ro. In the past years, the list of products exported includes, alongside bananas and coffee, dates.
