Voiculescu says was forced to become Securitate informant

Conservative Party Dan Voiculescu said at the last court hearing in his trial with the National Council for the Study of Securitate Archives (CNSAS) that he was actually forced to collaborate with the former communist secret police, daily ‘Evenimentul Zilei’ reported.

Voiculescu sued the CNSAS for ruling that he was involved in political police activities and collaborated with the Securitate under the code name ‘Felix.’ The case is now at the High Court after the Bucharest Court of Appeals ruled in favour of CNSAS. The High Court will give its verdict next month.
