The singer Inna was awarded a golden record in Holland, where her album, “Hot”, has sold in 25,000 records, Mediafax reports. The distinction was awarded to the singer on Thursday, during the School Awards gala, at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam. Currently Inna is in France, on tour and on a campaign to promote the song “Sun is Up”, her latest single, which ranked fifth in the French best-selling singles’ chart, being also the fifth hit by the artist to make it in the top 10. In merely two years, Inna has become a brand name across Europe, and songs like “Hot”, “Amazing” and “Déjà Vu” went to the first positions in international music charts. She was recently nominated to the Artist of the Year trophy, in the ninth edition of the Radio Romania Actualitati Music Awards, to take place on March 13, in Bucharest. In December 2010, Inna received the European Boarder Breakers’ Award (EBBA), a distinction awarded to newcomers.
