EC proposes EU states trade register interconnection

The European Commission laid out last week a proposal for a directive on interconnection of all the trade registers of EU country members towards easing cross-border electronic access to company information, quoted a Department for European Affairs release as saying. Commission members say the move could translate in EUR 69 M worth of savings. The EC shows that improved access to updated company information could increase market trust, contribute to economic recovery and improve the competitiveness of European companies. The proposal will be conveyed for debate by member states and the European Parliament.
