Security companies turnover dropped by approx. 12 pc in 2010

The Statistic Report of the Security Companies’ Professional Association (ACPS) indicates that, last year, security companies were not proof to the effects of the world economic crisis, as the number of employees dropped by 19 pc, and their turnover was reduced by approximately 12 pc, amounting to about RON 480 M, according to a release sent to “Nine O’Clock”. Last year, the investments of ACPS members dropped 6.5 times, from over EUR 7 M in 2009, to approximately EUR 1.6 M in 2010. Compared to 2009, 2010 saw a rise in turnover in the following services: transportation and escort of valuable items, monitoring and dispatching, event security, specialized training, the design and service of electronic home security systems. In 2011, the trend remains an ebbing one, though demand is on the rise. The companies which responded to ACPS’s poll have over 15,000 employees and an average turnover of RON 350 M.
