Women’s Football: Wales 2 – Romania 1 in Mundialito

The Romanian women’s national football team was defeated by Wales on Friday in a Group C game counting for the international tournament in Algarve (Portugal), also called the Mundialito, score 1-2 (1-0 at half time). Romania’s Cosmina Dusa opened the score in the 40th minute. Jessica Fishlock equalized in the 60th minute and Helen Lander scored the winning goal in the 72nd minute. In another Group C game Portugal registered a goalless draw against Chile. Portugal tops the standings with 4 points, followed by Wales with 3 points, Romania with 3 points and Chile with 1 point. On Monday at 8 PM Romania will play against Portugal, while Chile will play against Wales.
