General Mayor to run for second term as independent

Bucharest General Mayor Sorin Oprescu told a press conference yesterday that he would run for a second term as an independent, underlining however that he is honoured by the opposition Social-Liberal Union’s support, according to HotNews. “I will come before Bucharest residents for a second term only with my accomplishments,” he said. Oprescu also underlined that he remains truthful to his main objective, that of giving Bucharest a new face, and detailed several of the City Hall’s ongoing projects.
