Probe at kindergarten after children dance on PDL anthem

The Cluj School Inspectorate set up a commission to conduct a probe at a local kindergarten after news emerged that children attending a March 8 International Women’s Day celebration danced on the ruling Democrat Liberal Party’s anthem, in front of Cluj-Napoca Mayor Sorin Apostu. In a press release quoted by Mediafax, the Cluj School Inspectorate voiced disapproval of such events which “illegally overlap aspects of political life with those of education acts.” The school inspectorate demanded explanations about the incident from the kindergarten’s management and called on all teachers and personnel in the education system to clearly “dissociate political activities in which they may be involved from their educational activities.”
