The Romanian men’s table tennis team defeated Denmark on Tuesday in Buzau in the last Group B game counting for the Joola European Nations League, score 3-1, Agerpres informs. Adrian Crisan defeated Jakob Asmussen, 3-1 (9-11, 11-4, 11-7, 11-6), and Kasper Sternberg, 3-0 (11-6, 11-8, 11-5), while Ovidiu Ionescu defeated Mikkel Hindersson, 3-1 (3-11, 11-7, 11-9, 11-5). Sternberg won the only point for Denmark, defeating Andrei Filimon, score 3-2 (9-11, 11-9, 11-5, 9-11, 11-8). Czech Republic and Austria top the group standings with 9 points each, followed by Romania with 8 points and Denmark with 7 points. Despite winning the game Romania failed to qualify for the semifinals.
