America’s Coco Vandeweghe defeated Romania’s Edina Gallovits-Hall in the first round, score 4-6, 6-3, 6-4, while Russia’s Alla Kudryavtseva defeated Romania’s Sorana Cirstea in the same round, score 3-6, 6-3, 6-3.
