70 families stranded by landslides in Valcea County

Landslides have restarted in Berbesti and Blidari localities, Valcea County, 70 families being stranded after roads were destroyed. According to Berbesti Mayor Vintila Chelcea, 28 families are stranded in Valea Mare village after County Road 135, the only road in the area, was torn apart in a landslide. The road had been repaired last year following a similar event. In Blidari 49 houses were cut off from the rest of the village. Local authorities state they have filed memos to the Presi­dency and the Government and are waiting for a solution, given the fact that these are recurring events.
