Three homes burned to the ground in Bucharest’s Giurgiului district

Three houses burned to ashes in Giurgiului district, Bucharest. One of the home owners was injured while trying to get his children out of harm’s way. The fire took two hours to douse, given the narrow streets made fire fighters access difficult, and the lack of water sources available. Home owners escaped with nothing but the shirts on their backs and they will now have to rely on relatives for shelter. Fire fighters suspect the blaze could have started from an unsupervised smoke stack or a makeshift electrical installation.
