Travel agencies to sell holidays worth over EUR 600,000

The National Association of Travel Agencies (ANAT) estimates a 20 pc increase of the volume of tourist packages to be sold at the `Holiday Market` fair, ANAT President Corina Martin told Mediafax. “At the first edition of the fair, last year, we sold tourist packages worth about EUR 500,000,” Martin added. The holiday fair will be held during March 17-20 at the Parliament Palace of Bucharest. According to the ANAT official, the optimistic forecast is based upon the evolution of the demand for tourist packages this year so far. Furthermore, there are special offers and early booking programmes for destination in Romania and abroad.

More than 100 exhibitors will attend `Holiday Market,` on a surface that exceeds 5,000 square metres. The Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism will be present with its own booth.
