After its meeting on Tuesday the Federal Bureau of the Romanian Boxing Federation (FRB) announced that it is waiting for clarifications from the International Boxing Association (AIBA) following the temporary suspension the latter ruled against it, Agerpres informs. “The Federal Bureau is waiting for clarifications concerning AIBA’s ambiguous communiqué that did not list the AIBA Statute articles that the Romanian Boxing Federation violated,” a FRB communiqué reads. The Romanian Boxing Federation has asked the National Authority for Sport and Youth (ANST) and the Romanian Olympic Committee (COSR) for official and open support so that boxers and boxing coaches will be able to continue their activities which “for many of them represent the only source of income for them and their families.”
