Litigations operated by Danila, Petre & Associates, over RON 700 M, in 2010

Last year, the law firm Danila, Petre & Associates provided legal representation in 1,811 litigations, and the sums involved amounted to RON 723 M, a release remitted to “Nine O’Clock” informs. “Compared to 2009, 2010 saw a 20 pc-rise in the number of litigations in which we were involved, which led to an expansion of our litigations department,” Nicoleta Grama, Danila, Petre & Associates partner, stated. Before the crisis, litigations accounted for up to 40 pc of the law firm’s turnover; at present, 70 pc of its revenue comes from litigations.

Another significant portion comes from legal representation in criminal business law cases, and the over 600 such cases taken on last year brought in RON 154 M. The latest success of the law firm’s litigations department dates from March 8, 2011, and concerns the litigation settled by the Oradea Court of Appeal, in which DPA managed to exempt the National Securities Commission (CNVM) from the payment of civil damages amounting to a total RON 7,592,041.74 to a group of 108 investors on the capital market.
