Phishing attack at Credit Europe Bank

On the night of March 16, 2011, Credit Europe Bank (Romania) SA was the target of a phishing attack, in which the bank clients were requested to provide confidential data referring to their cards, a release remitted to “Nine O’Clock” informs. As a consequence, Credit Europe Bank reminds its clients that the bank never requests confidential data regarding the card number, the PIN code or the card’s expiration date. “We should add that not all the persons who received these emails are clients of Credit Europe Bank. At this moment, Credit Europe Bank has taken all necessary measures to protect the clients’ personal data,” the release further reads.
