The Mountain Rescue Team managed to find the four tourists who got lost, on Saturday, in the Baiului Mountains, Prahova County, during a mountain hike. One of the tourists made it, on his own, to an abstraction station, and the others were found in the same area, about one kilometre away. The four tourists are colleagues at a faculty in Bucharest. Two of them are from Bucharest, one is from Zarnesti, and the fourth is from Curtea de Arges. Initially, the rescue team supposed three of the tourists had gone into hypothermic shock, as the fourth one, who called 112 and requested help, said his three colleagues were in a very bad state because of the cold. When they were found, the three were physically exhausted, especially the woman, who did not have the adequate mountain gear. The tourists told the rescue team that, initially, they had set off from Susai Chalet heading to the Doftana Valley, after which they had decided to choose another route, to a different destination, but ended up getting lost.
