The president of the Conservative Party (PC), Daniel Constantin, stated, on Saturday, in a press conference, in Cluj, that the Social Liberal Union (USL) may file, in the Senate, a motion to bring down the Foreign Minister, Teodor Baconschi, a topic which is to be discussed, on Monday, with the Social Democratic Party (PSD). “On Monday, we will address, with PSD, the possibility of filing a joint motion of USL for the dismissal of the Foreign Minister, Teodor Baconschi. We’ve already discussed the topic with the president of the National Liberal Party (PNL), Crin Antonescu, and the secretary general of PNL, Radu Stroe. By this motion, we wish to call to task the foreign policy which the Boc Government is waging, to voice our disproval of the line taken by the Romanian diplomacy since Baconschi was appointed in office. His failures are striking, from having Romanians offended as a nation in the European dailies to the Schengen failure and to the failure to take a stand against the statements of the head of the Hungarian Parliament, which cried out for a public response,” the PC leader sai, quoted by Realitatea.net.
