Gymnastics: Izbasa wins gold at France Internationals

On Sunday Romanian gymnast Sandra Izbasa won gold in the floor event at the France Internationals. Romania’s Diana Chelaru finished on second place in the floor event and on third place in the vault event, while Ana Porgras finished on second place in the balance beam event, gymmedia.com informs. Sandra Izbasa won 14,833 points in the floor event, while Chelaru totaled 14,633 points. Russia’s Anna Dementieva finished on third place with 14,433 points, followed by Italy’s Vanessa Ferrari (12,700 pts). Romania’s Flavius Koczi won two silver medals in the men’s events – one in the floor event and one in the vault event. Koczi won 15,266 points in the floor event, finishing behind Chile’s Enrique Thomas Gonzalez Sepulveda (15,466 pts). In the vault event Koczi won 15,800 points, finishing behind Sepulveda once again (16,099 pts).
