11 persons arrested for stealing 6.7 tons of electric cable from National Arena

13 persons are investigated, 11 under preventive arrest, for stealing over 1,060 meters of electric cable worth more than RON 173,000 from Bucharest’s National Arena, the District 2 Prosecutor’s Office informs, being quoted by Realitatea.net. According to the prosecutors, the thieves used a security guard in order to gain access within the stadium where they broke into the electric room. There they cut and stole 1,060 meters of electric cable that contains copper. The 6.77 tons of stolen cable were evaluated at RON 173,913.05. The sum has not been recovered yet. The District 2 Court magistrates have ordered 11 of the 13 persons investigated to be placed under preventive arrest for theft.
