DNA summons Monica Iacob-Ridzi

Former Youth and Sports minister Monica Iacob-Ridzi went yesterday to the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA), where she was announced that she may see the evidence against her starting next week. The former minister is being probed by DNA prosecutors for misuse of authority against public interests (the civil servant obtained for himself or third parties a patrimonial advantage), using forged documents in acts of corruption, and improper participation in crimes against the Law of Accountancy, in continued form. According to DNA sources, she caused a prejudice worth EUR 100,000 to the Youth and Sports Ministry (MTS) by purchasing various electronics, including laptop computers and a fridge.
