Greece eliminates airport fees between April 1 and December 31

In the attempt to back tourism by boosting the number of flights to Greece, the Greek Tourism Ministry announced, yesterday, that it had decided to do away with take-off, landing and stop-over fees for all types of planes, on all airports across the country, except for the Athens International Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos A.I.A.), is stated in a release remitted by Greece’s National Tourism Organization in Bucharest. The offer is running between April 1 and December 31, 2011. Most of the charter flights for tourists, as well as regular flights between Romania and Greece, are headed to destinations such as Rhodos, Crete, Skiatos, Zakynthos, Corfu or Thessaloniki.
