RON gains 1.79 Ban against EUR

The Romanian currency keeps its upward trend against the Euro. The National Bank of Romania (BNR) posted Wednesday a reference exchange rate of 4.1260 RON/EUR, 1.79 Ban (RON 0.0179) under Tuesday’s reference rate of 4.1439 RON/EUR. The reference rate set Wednesday is the lowest since April 27, 2010, when the Central Bank posted a reference of 4.1246 RON/EUR. RON is also appreciating vs. the US currency, with an exchange rate of 2.9049 RON/USD yesterday, 0.44 Ban under Tuesday’s quotation. This is the minimum level reached after January 20 last year, when the reference was 2.9043 RON/USD.
