Deputy PM Marko Bela to coordinate working group for Roma

Deputy Prime Minister Marko Bela was appointed by PM Emil Boc as coordinator of a working group to develop a new strategy for the Roma community, by implementing social inclusion provisions for 2011-2020, according to Mediafax. The working group will also include the head of the National Agency for Roma, who will be president of the body, the head of the National Council to Combat Discrimination, a representative of the Authority for Coordination of Structural Instruments and state secretaries from almost all ministries. According to an official document obtained by Mediafax two weeks ago, the government is planning to develop a new strategy to improve Roma’s situation. The strategy will include measures aimed at helping 40,000 Roma to find employment.
