At the end of last week Galatasaray Istanbul informed on its official website that Gheorghe Hagi is no longer the team’s head coach. According to the club’s leadership, the two sides amicably decided to part ways, ‘Turk Telekom Arena’ informs. “We thank Gheorghe Hagi for his efforts. He has proudly left his name on the club’s most important history pages and is loved by all fans,” the Istanbul-based club’s official website informs. The decisive talks between Hagi and the club’s leadership took place on Friday, after the morning training session led by the Romanian coach. “I believe that things went well during my previous stints at Galatasaray, as player and head coach. Unfortunately this time it didn’t go as I wanted. I won’t explain the reasons now. I’ve decided that it’s better to end it now because I’m not a part of the club’s future. Of course I’m very sad too, but I certainly have no regrets,” Gica Hagi stated for Galatasaray TV, Mediafax informs.
