Generali Asigurari and Vodafone launched an insurance policy for the payment of the mobile phone bill. In exchange for a monthly premium of EUR 1-2, the insurer commits to pay the subscriber’s bills in the event of unemployment or becoming unfit for work, a press release informs. The offer is available via the insurance broker Marsh Romania and starts from EUR 1/ month, in exchange for which the insurer will cover the client’s bills in the event the latter should involuntarily lose his job or become temporarily unfit for work, for any reason whatsoever. In the event the subscriber should become permanently and fully disabled, the insurer commits to pay overdue bills and fines, up to a maximum EUR 1,000. Furthermore, the product comes with a protection component, functioning, also, as a life insurance. The Premium package, with a monthly premium of EUR 2, offers the possibility of taking over bills for other utilities, EUR 1,000-compensation in the event of total, permanent disability and financial protection for the family members, that is, EUR 1,000-compensation in the event of the insured party’s death, whether in an accident or by any other cause. The system of payment for the premium stipulates the inclusion of monthly costs in the phone bill.
