Telephone operator Romtelecom has acquired from telecom operator Digital Cable Systems (DCS) the assets of the AKTA Satelit television service, along with customer contracts, according to a press release remitted to “Nine O’Clock” yesterday. The transaction value will be set according to the company’s actual customer base. The two parties notified the Competition Council over the transaction, with customers going to be transferred to the new owner once the go-ahead is obtained. In 2010, the DCS business turnover was put at over EUR 3 M, up 15 per cent from 2009.
