Table Tennis: The Netherlands vs. Romania 3-2

Romania’s women’s table tennis team were defeated away by The Netherlands, 3-2, at the National Sports Cender Papendal, in Arnhem, in leg 1 of the semi-finals of the Joola European League of Nations, Agerpres reports. Li Jie beat Bernadette Szocs, 3-0 (11, 6,8), and Daniela Dodean, 3-2 (-5, -9, 5, 3, 10), and the duo Li Jiao/Linda Creemers, went 3-0 (5, 9, 10) past Bernadette Szocs/Elis Samara. Romania’s Daniela Dodean upset Li Jiao, 3-2 (8,5, -9, -6, 10), and Elizabeta Samara, 3-1 (8, -7, 5, 10) against Linda Cre­mers. Leg 2 will be played April 19, most likely in Buzau. The final is scheduled this coming autumn.
