25th edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair

Ministry wants fewer, but more ‘substantial’ events.

ssThe Ministry of Regional Development and Tourism (MDRT) wants to hold fewer, but more “substantial” tourism fairs each year, the head of the ministry’s General Department for Tourism, Paul Marasoiu said Thursday, quoted by Mediafax.

“It is alright to hold a fair each month, as we are doing for some time, but I think it would be even better to have a large number of guests and a wide range of products for everybody, (…) so we improve the image of Romanian tourism,” Marasoiu said at the opening of the 25th edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair. The 25th edition of the Romanian Tourism Fair is hosted by the Romexpo exhibition centre of Bucharest, during March 31 – April 3. The Romexpo fair brings together more than 150 firms from 21 countries, which display their offers on a surface exceeding 5,000 square metres. Almost half of exhibitors come from abroad.

On the other hand, railway transporter CFR Calatori has its own stand at the fair. CFR Calatori will present its offers of transport by local, international and even charter trains, in an attempt to establish new contacts and collaborations. “This participation represents for CFR Calatori an opportunity to better know the needs of the public and the present and future activities of the attending firms,” reads a release of CFR Calatori. During the fair, CFR Calatori will run a video promo of the company and its products in its booth.
