Ionel Mantog, a former director at the Turceni Energy Complex, and Ion Vulpe, former general manager of the Oltenia National Lignite Corporation (SNLO), were each handed down by the Sibiu Tribunal yesterday a one year and eight months suspended prison sentence for uttering. The ruling is challengeable on appeal. According to the Sibiu Court officials, the charge against the two defendants was changed during the trial from corruption to uttering. The court also ordered the seizing of over RON 280,000.
