Ponta: Flutur received EUR 70 M after jumping in Boc’s boat

The president of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), Victor Ponta, stated, on Monday, in a press conference, that the deputy president of the Democratic Liberal Party (PDL), Gheorghe Flutur, whom he called “a notorious traitor”, had received EUR 70 M in exchange for betraying Vasile Blaga and switching allegiance to Emil Boc. He added the Social Liberal Union (USL) would provide evidence and figures indicating the way in which money from the prime-minister Emil Boc’s reserve fund was channelled towards Democrat-Liberals who promised to back Emil Boc in the May PDL Council. Flutur was quick to respond, telling “Victoras” to “rest assured, as PDL has its own team” and “does not need advice from a co-pilot, who was unable to keep control of his own car.”
