Chess: Gergely Szabo wins ‘Victor Ciocaltea Memorial’ international tournament

Romania’s Gergely Szabo won the 28th edition of the ‘Victor Ciocaltea Memorial’ international chess tournament on Monday, winning 8 out of 11 possible points, Gheorghe Tandea, the tournament’s director, informed. Ukraine’s Vadim Shishkin was second with 7 points, and Poland’s Marcin Tazbir was third with 7 points. Szabo previously won this tournament in 2009. Romania’s Andrei Murariu won it in 2010.
