Men’s handball: Nedeljko Vuckovic to coach Poli Timisoara

Serbia’s Nedeljko Vuckovic is Politehnica Timisoara’s new head coach, the club’s official website informs. Vuckovic and sports adviser Uwe Bittenbinder will take over the team after the club’s leadership decided to put an end to its collaboration with coaches Gelu Bota and Otto Heel, given a string of unsatisfactory results and taking into account the team’s position in the rankings. Vuckovic thus returns at the helm of Timisoara after less than a year. Poli, who is last but one in the rankings (13th place with 8 points), will play an away game against title holder HCM Constanta on Saturday.
