League I: Dinamo 2 – FC Brasov 1

Dinamo Bucharest managed to defeat FC Brasov at home on Wednesday despite being led (1-0), final score 2-1, and climbed on 4th place in the League I rankings, in a tie with Steaua.

At the start of the game it looked like Dinamo had not snapped out of its defeat at the hands of U Cluj the previous leg. FC Brasov went ahead in the 20th minute after a beautiful piece created by Teixeira and converted by Viveiros. Marius Alexe equalized shortly after the break (40th minute). Liviu Ganea sealed the game for Dinamo in the 53rd minute with a shot at the near post. Things are unchanged at the top of the rankings after Otelul Galati and FC Timisoara, the main contenders, both registered draws in the games they played at home. FC Timisoara avoided a disastrous defeat against Astra Ploiesti, managing to equalize after being 2 goals behind until the 73rd minute, final score 2-2. In Galati, Otelul met FC Vaslui, a team that is 3rd, 5 points behind the League leader. The result was a goalless draw.
