Antonie Solomon, president of  PDL Craiova organization said Saturday he is going to run for mayor again in the 2012 local election, and stay with the party he joined on account of his sympathy for President Traian Basescu, Realitatea.net. reports. “I am allowed to stand for mayor. Even if I were arrested, I would still run <for mayor>. I will stay with PDL, which I joined given the sympathy I feel for Traian Basescu (…) I won’t be a political creep. I won’t be that again, I used to be one.

I said I would like to be a true Christian,” Solomon said, who was put under preventive arrest March 3, 2010 for repeated bribe-taking and uttering. He was suspended from the position of mayor on March 10, 2010.
