French Internal Affairs Minister Claude Gueant will pay a working visit to Bucharest on April 18, the French Embassy in Bucharest announced, pointing out that the visit’s goal will be to “consolidate police and judicial cooperation” between the two states. “France’s and Romania’s will to tighten the bonds between them at a moment when Europe faces difficult challenges, such as the challenge represented by the economic crisis and by migration pressures, is fully reaffirmed,” the Embassy pointed out, being quoted by Mediafax. The French Internal Affairs Minister’s visit comes a week after he met Romanian Foreign Minister Teodor Baconschi in Paris.
