Boc justifies money allocated to churches

Without faith in God, no one in Romania can do anything

On Tuesday, PM Emil Boc explained the Government’s recent decision to supplement church allocations by the fact that they need support and that, without faith in God, no one in Romania can do anything in Romania. ‘I believe churches need to be supported in Romania. Without faith in God, neither you nor anyone in this country can do anything,’ said Boc. At the end of March, the budget of the Government Secretariat General was supplemented by the Executive with RON 25 M, funds allocated for the Secretariat of State for Churches to continue the construction of churches, repair and renovate other ones and support the activity of social establishments managed by churches. The money was taken from the budget contingency fund at the disposal of the Government.
