Deputy Olosz Gergely (UDMR), investigated by DNA

The Covasna deputy Olosz Gergely is investigated by the National Anti-Corruption Directorate (DNA) for influence-peddling in connection to two private companies. The MP claims, however, the charges are “ridiculous” and there are no grounds for the investigation. He also took the occasion to deny the information published by a Hungarian daily, which argues he was charged, by DNA, with bribe-taking, in a case in which, in his quality as chairman of the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), he had, allegedly, intervened on behalf of a Romanian company, so as the latter could obtain its license for trading energy. Olosz Gergely further stated that, in the past years, several control institutions had conducted investigations of his activity and, every time, had failed to find any irregularities.
